Mind on Money pod

last weeks MoM pod was good stuff. I know it didn’t stay on a “normal” subject, but one of the best to date IMO.

If you have kids, I would suggest listening. Some good perspectives from two different angles on stuff dads in particular think about as we get older and kids start getting ready to fly the coop.

Make memories with your kids while you can……life flies by and memories are what we and they have left with at the end.

HOOPS: A quick stats-look at Texas

Ole Miss and Texas meet tonight at 8 at The Pavilion, with Ole Miss trying to break its three-game losing streak, while Texas is coming off a last-second win over Texas A&M -- a game that looked a lot like Ole Miss' game with the Aggies a week ago. The Longhorns are 14-6 overall and 3-4 in the SEC. The Rebels have a 72 percent chance, per KenPom.

Texas is a little worse than Ole Miss in most categories, but they are similar from a strength and weaknesses standpoint. The Horns are 48th in offensive adjusted efficiency and 47th in defensive adjusted efficiency. Ole Miss hovers around 40th offensively and 10th defensively. The Rebels' best metrics are a lack of turnovers and turning over opponents. They haven't had a lot of stupid turnovers, at least in the wins. Texas is similar statistically.

Texas is 15th offensively in best turnover percentage and forces over 18 percent of opponent possessions in to turnovers, just outside the top 100. The Horns are 16 nationally in avoiding steals offensively and 47th nationally in non-steal offensive turnovers (stupid stuff). Ole Miss struggles with rebounds and Texas does, as well. The Longhorns are 203rd in offensive rebound percentage and 183rd in avoiding offensive rebounds defensively.
