But if Washington State finishes ahead of Boise State, Army and Tulane, would they count as highest non Power 4 team and be given that last playoff spot? If not, why not? I’m still so confused about how WSU and Oregon State are viewed. They’re glorified Mountain West teams.

This would be my projection for the ranking and then the field this week:

1. Oregon
2. Ohio State
3. Texas
4. Penn State
5. Indiana
6. Notre Dame
7. Alabama
8. Ole Miss
9. Georgia
10. Miami
11. Tennessee
12. SMU
13. Boise State
14. Texas A&M
15. Colorado

Then the playoff goes this way:

1 Oregon vs 8 Notre Dame/9 Alabama

4 Boise State vs 5 Ohio State/12 Colorado

3 Miami vs 6 Penn State/11 Georgia

2 Texas vs 7 Indiana/10 Ole Miss

First two out - Tennessee, SMU

I wouldn’t discount Big 10 and SEC championship losers potentially falling behind us in seeding depending on the scenario, so there are still plenty of chances to shift up some seed lines.

Between them and Tennessee, that should move us to #8 tomorrow.

Man Kansas is a bad offensive football team but somehow they got it done. That was worth staying up for.

We’re in the final stretch. The 12 team playoff brings many more games into the forefront to watch. Here’s what I believe Ole Miss needs today-

Georgia over TN
Arkansas over Texas
Florida over LSU
Kansas over BYU
South Carolina over Mizzou
Virginia over Notre Dame

Obviously, not all of those will happen, but we need as many of those outcomes as possible to help solidify us.
