World War II: From the Frontlines

…while we wait for commitments to become public…

I loved this series and as I watched it, I think it’s largely because I hadn’t studied the war in total since high school.

All the movies and documentaries that I have seen focused on single battles or in some limited scope of the overall war.

I had forgotten about timelines and what was happening across the world simultaneously.

In addition to the show being great, it left me with 2 main questions, which have likely been discussed ad nauseam. But I’ll stir them up anyway:

1. What if Hitler had invaded the Middle East rather than Russia?

2. What if Japan never bombed Pearl Harbor, which forced the U.S. to enter the war?

With the talent being somewhat level with OM and the powers that be

I’ll be very interested to see how Kiffin approaches games like Georgia, OU, LSU and possibly Bama next season.

Fascinated to see how aggressive or conservative he is. I doubt I’m the only one who thinks he’s been a little in his head vs Bama the last few years. His game plan for the Tide in 23 was questionable at best. His approach at UGA was one of having a free shot, which is completely understandable.

Personally, I like ultra aggressive Kiffin. His teams seem to play a little better when he doesn’t have a lot of confidence in his defense. Obviously that doesn’t always work out.

This is new territory for LK and something that I believe our fans need to think about and maybe be patient with. He’s still learning on the job. I don’t think he’s had a team that he truly believed stacked up man for man with the best. That’s going to be a new way of approaching games and a season for Lane.

Just Something to think about.
