I guess I've been under a rock. When reading today's mailbag by @Neal McCready I had no idea who or what Gin Kiffin was. I had to google also. Where did Juice go?

For our family. 2024 was very expensive as I spent 3 weeks between 2 hospitals and eventually had surgery…. Last night our little Maltese (5 years old) jumped off the back of the couch and tore his CCL. Today’s vet expense was $650 just to x ray and tell us that while also giving pain meds. Surgery was recommended. Given the minimum $3k that would require, on top of rehab and follow up visits, I am not sure we can afford it. I’m not as emotionally attached to animals as my wife is. She wouldn’t care what the cost was. But I think more logically and what is best for the family when it comes to being financially responsible. Our son is 2 and this dog was with us before he was born. I say that to say having kids changes your perspective on pets. But it seems like any decision made is the wrong one and will suck tremendously. Any advice? Also feel free to use this on life advice @Neal McCready @tsiskey

My wife and I are headed down to the Playa del Carmen area in the next few days. We have a private transfer from Cancun airport, and we are just planning to chill at our resort for a few days. Any safety issues/concerns/wisdom we should know before we go?
