Rant for The Day

I must admit, I think that McKenzie Long’s sweep of the NCAA Championships may be the greatest one-day performance by an athlete in Ole Miss sports history-and it was all on live TV on ESPN. Moreover, there is the compelling story about the loss of her mother. So while I don’t usually do this, I decided to visit the Clarion Ledger online edition to see their write-up on McKenzie’s accomplishment. You know what I found: Zero, not one mention. I even checked 3-4 times before posting this because I thought for sure I must have missed it-but not even one line.

This is supposed to be our State’s flagship newspaper and an Ole Miss girl wins three national championships in two hours and absolutely nothing. There were perhaps a half dozen stories about Ole Miss baseball-thanks a lot. And, of course, a big story about the decommitment of DeeDee Hageman-no mention that it was reportedly transcript related. But again nothing on McKenzie’s triple crown.

The Clarion Ledger Sucks!

What if….

Elijah Moore doesn’t pee in the end zone that night and get that 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty? The chain reaction of events, that play set off that night are fascinating to think about.

What PAC-12 school out west, does Corral end up transferring too? How many more years is Matt Luke at OM? Where is Lane Kiffin coaching today? Who is coaching at State today? It’s crazy to think how impactful one penalty was

Other that LFK, Knox & JD, who are the peeps in this photo?

I edited the thread title b/c I actually did recognize Dart. The others, not so much.

@KentuckyReb get ITT and help me out. I'm guessing that's Walker Howard and LK's daughter.

Speaking of Lane's daughter, this is her 2nd (or maybe 3rd) year at OM so it's never too early to get her sold on a post grad degree from OM. Preferably one that requires her to stay in Oxford for the next decade or so to complete.
