The only team in America self-imposing 11 scholarships is Ole Miss, and that's cause the NCAA caught them cheating. Other teams don't self-impose a loss of scholarships cause it hurts any program that does so.

The Champs don't need anyone's aid. All we do is win titles. I wish that we got more satisfaction from beating bottom feeders such as Ole Miss, but we just don't. After we RUTS this year it still won't mean much to us. That's what happens when you only lose to a team 4 times in 4 decades.

Ole Miss' current class is 46th in the country and 12th in the SEC. Right now you can talk recruiting smack to Missouri and Vandy, and that's it.
A coach that buys his way to a Top 5 class and still barely wins 8 games a year doesn't scare anyone.

Kentucky (2000): Coach Hal Mumme was caught providing assistant coaches with money for recruits to entice them to Kentucky. He was fired, but the NCAA still imposed a postseason ban for the 2002 season.
Alabama (1995): Cornerback Antonio Langham was caught receiving illegal benefits from an agent, resulting in a one-year postseason ban, the loss of scholarships, probation and the vacating of eight wins and a tie from the 1995 season.
