A lot of good football on the television and interesting games in multiple time slots leading up to Ole Miss and LSU and Oregon-Ohio State. If you have honey-dos, knock those out early. The slate doesn't really pick up until 2:30.

We'll go live with the MPW Digital Watch Party around 6:20 or 6:25 and be with you during and after the Rebels and Tigers. As always, thanks to Realtree for their support and making it possible. MPW15 for 15 percent off at realtree.com.

What are you putting on the grill or cooking for the day of football? We just got back from the beach around 6 p.m. yesterday so scrambling a bit on food and organization today. The trip back took about 9 hours because of traffic and wrecks. I should have been smart and gone through Meridian.

Keys for today...

1. Get to the passer - LSU has allowed just one sack on the season. Ole Miss has 24 sacks defensively. Nussmeier isn't much of a runner and doesn't scramble well.

2. Hit a few deep passes - Jaxson Dart is 3-for-17 on his last 20 passes that traveled at least 20 yards in the air.

3. Smartly use the run game - It does sound like we'll see Bentley for the first time. Matt Jones is out. Henry Parrish is banged up but playing. Ole Miss has run for 4.4 yards per carry and 3.7 yards per carry on designed runs in the two SEC games.

4. Don't let the tight end and the middle of the field be a feast for LSU - They are excellent at exploiting the holes in the middle of the field and running receivers open in that area.

Ole Miss has been a favorite at LSU four times since at least 1978 and has won once. It'll try to double that tonight. The Rebels lost as a favorite at Tigers Stadium in 1993, 2014 and 2020.

Here's the one...
