The sarcastic use of WAOM went away IMO when we were crowned NC in Omaha. I have never used it in a sarcastic way. It has actually always been a little offensive.

Besides the disastrous baseball season this year, OM Athletics has been on an upswing. Keith Carter is a big reason for that and we are fortunate to have him leading our sports programs.

I’m not sure if there’s enough interest on the board - there’s been a number of other threads regarding various libations - so I figured Id put it out there.

I’m relatively new to collecting and I’m expanding my palate. I’m close to Napa so I get out there and to Paso as much as possible and I favor the blends and Cabs from the region immensely.

However, my GF is Italian and that had me doing a deep dive into Italian wine and broadening my horizons.

Most recently, and kind of what sparked this thread - I had dinner with my father who has been into wine forever and he brought a 2001 Chateau Lafite Rothschild Paulliac. This was one of my first French wines and vastly different from anything else I’d ever had. The nuance and complexities of the world of wine has me fervorously interested in all things viticulture.

I thought it might be worth it to see if this would be a place others might want to learn, make recommendations, trade, etc.
