I know Saturday Down South is just a fan blog and you can’t really predict much about the 2024 season yet but I think this is pretty close to what most people would predict if they guessed. In this scenario we avoid the best two teams, play 3 and 7 at home then over half our schedule is against 11,12,13,14, and 15.

Could not ask for a better schedule.

Per Paul Jones, he’s in talks with State. After the fiasco Sunday night, him flipping to them wouldn’t be a shock.

How strict are they in Atlanta about moving from section to section? I’ve got a 300 level ticket, but I’ve got some friends I wanna meet in the student section. Should they let me come and go?

Besides Woodland, Burnside, are there any more names to watch for not committed to ole miss currently? 🤔Obviously would love to have a commitment from Nolen but he doesn’t sign.

Since tomorrow will be a shit show for me at work, I was going to go ahead and post to give you guys a heads up. Join myself and Neal tomorrow night at 6pm on the MPW YouTube channel. Drinks will be flowing, and I'm sure the show will go more than off the rails. We will open the phone lines for whatever you guys want to talk about. Were you ever All-Conference, in any sport, at either the high school or collegiate level? If so, when, what sport, what position and at what level (1st team, 2nd team, Honorable Mention, etc)?

If you were All-something better than conference, then notate that also.

I'm sure this has probably been posted...but I'm just a little surprised LSU wouldn't have hunted for bigger game. He will be fine, but is he better than someone like Max Johnson? (I get MJ isn't going back to LSU) Also - Nussmeier is most likely starting. What's the deal with that?

The City of Brotherly Love has been struck by alarming news as Kendall Stephens, a well-known LGBTQ+ activist, was taken into custody on charges of sexual assault against minors.

Stephens, 37, who urged for more inclusive hate crime legislation within the city, faces serious allegations involving two young boys under the age of 13.

Attorney General has filed multiple charges, including indecent assault against a person less than 13 years old, rape, unlawful contact with minor sexual offenses, and endangering the welfare of children – parent or guardian.

On Woodland: A lot of confidence that a flip "is going to happen" tomorrow morning on signing day. LSU is still trying to keep him, but it looks very likely he announces for Ole Miss tomorrow...
On Burnside: Flip a coin at the moment, it is that much up in the air. He has told several people he want's to be at Ole Miss....
On Nolen: Ole Miss is not going to back off or give him an "ultimatum", you don't do that with that caliber of player. If it happens today great, if it happens in January, they are fine with that too....everyone is beyond all in for 2024 and they are going to make sure they get elite talent....
