Looks like Nashville is inching closer to getting the White Sox or another MLB team…

The Allstate Red River Rivalry game will continue to be played at the historic Cotton Bowl until 2036. The stadium will undergo at least $200 million in renovations.

Of course, this game is played during the Texas State Fair. The nearby neighborhood is not the greatest but this is a positive step for "traditionalists" like me.

Outside of the Florida/Georgia "Cocktail Party" in Jacksonville, the Arkansas/A&M game at JerryWorld, and the Army/Navy game, I can't think of any other annual games played at neutral sites. Can you?

The Iron Bowl left Birmingham many years ago as did the Egg Bowl in Jackson. One wonders if either city could have retained these games with significant "pot sweeteners".

Will there even be an Orange Bowl? What if FSU tells them Hell no? Interesting situation.

Lacy, our top RB target: no better than 50-50 even though we were on him a long time ago and thought he was going to flip when he de-committed from Nebraska

Caleb Odom: we were on him first, then Alabama offers and he commits there. Kiffin paid personal attention to him recently, but apparently to no avail

Charleston Collins: committed to Arkansas but was projected by several analysts to flip to us a few weeks ago; now sounds like 50-50 at best, even with Arkansas’s problems

Braylon Burnside: widely expected to flip a few weeks ago and now expected to stay with MSU

4 elite recruits that we really should have, but don’t….and we may not get any of them, in the end

I’ll start yea….a bit of a humble brag….

I have a farm in Hickman County TN that I have owned for 2 years. I am committed to seeing just how big they can get here with unlimited food and age. My goal is a property that I can share with others and have them see lots of deer and harvest better deer

I have 4 legit shooters on the place this year - all 5.5 yrs old or older. The largest is a 160s 11 pt.

I have a wife that just started hunting last year and a few nephews. I put together a buck file for them this year with what I knew about history etc. I was committed I wasn’t going to shoot one of the bigger deer until they all had a chance to hunt. Went so far as to tell them my goal was to pass on all of the shooters and have pics to document it before they came to hunt.

Well, I just met my goal when I let the 11pt eat in front of me for a good 15 minutes. Being a MS boy I didn’t know if I would have it in me to let him go, but I did and never got too excited. I now get to trash talk nephews…….

They all seem to think it’s Durkin and seem to think that he has a deal in place with MSU but staying on at A&M until after signing day due to a bump he’ll get from them. If that’s the case then that’s dumb of State to let him keep recruiting for A&M

Did you guys like them ? FOTFM got very very iffy reviews from what I can tell online . Napolean got really good reviews.

So our possible WR Corp for 2024 could include
Tre Harris, J. Watkins, Ayden Williams, Deion Smith, Cayden Lee, and Chris Brazzell? Plus Prieskorn back? I’ll take that all damn day. With Judkins in the backfield if we can get a couple solid O linemen we might have the best offense of the Kiffin era by far next year.

Gonna be around Woburn for a week.

For all the talk about them having 8-10 million and what good shape they are in it sure isn’t showing so far. Other than Burnside which hasn’t committed to them yet they are struggling. They talk so much crap about our NIL now it shows.

Anyone have one? Like it? I am looking for a cap mostly for winter duck seasons. I have a dog who rides in the bed in a kennel so I like the idea of the positive air pressure system in the smartcap to keep dust out.

Just a thought but next season could we somehow tie some of his NIL money to keeping his holding penalties down? Like he gets to max out if he keeps them to under a certain number?

I just received the 2024 Alumni Calendar in the mail. It already has the dates listed of the 2024 season. Wonder if they already have a head up as to what the schedule is?
