Crootin’ strategy

I’ve thought for a while about how OM could be competitive in the NIL market. We all saw in our game vs Georgia how far our talent is from the top. We will never be able to spend like many of our neighbors in this league. We’ve proven that we can consistently compete at a high level, but putting together a squad that can go the distance in the playoff is a tall task. I’ve always heard that baseball likes to go all in every three years with how they use scholarships. Saving up for one big class. I wonder if that’s a strategy we will see football teams like ours employ. Maybe football job security is just too volitive for that.
If we were, then 2024 would be a great year to go all in on one year rentals in the portal.

SIAP: Good article here. Jim Phillips, ACC Commissioner, voted to delay the 12 Team playoff…

We would have had a 12 team playoff this year if Jim Phillips and two others had not formed an “Alliance” to stop it. This “Alliance” kept Oregon, Ohio State and Florida State (all reps of the alliance) out of the playoffs this year. FSU is no longer a victim. They need to look no further than their own commissioner.

Make no mistake about this Peach Bowl….

This is a huge opportunity. It’s a top 10 opponent, Big Ten /SEC matchup, chance for the programs first 11 win season, a launching point into top 10 preseason ranking in the year of a 12 team playoff. As well as recruiting & Portal implications.

Really hope staff & players put in the effort to get this game. Pretty clear that didn’t happen last year.

OT - bleacher chairs.

Club Volleyball season is upon me and I am getting a chair this year. Any advice?

Saw a bunch on Amazon. Drift Sun has some nice ones. The there is a Chinese company that’s makes some similar ones. Alpcour.

I want the best one.

8+ hours on gym bleachers are beyond brutal.

Is a metal hook for the bleachers better than straps, reclining….
