Was checking to see if Memphis or NC State who we play this week were ranked, or receiving votes.

Doesn’t mean anything, I was just pretty surprised to see that.

What do you think needs to be done to improve that portion of the team. Clearly,recruit better but what can be done with the ones we have? I see all the time lines composed of low and medium ranked players somehow being functional. Do we need a new OL coach, just pure more numbers of people or what?

He’s saying he would take a pay cut for players to be paid. He’s going to bring it all down with him. Am I the only one that thinks this is hilarious?

We are going for a 10 day cruise next May and have about 4-1/2 days before we have to get on the boat. Was thinking about spending a couple of nights in Sienna and then 2 nights in Rome.

Any tips or suggestions on towns to visit or things to see is appreciated!

My short list is Sienna, San Gimignano, Montalcino, and Montepulciano. We will catch Pisa and Florence via an excursion on the cruise.

So here's what we've got this morning:

"Guy 1" has been Dan Lanning. I feel ok saying that now because Oregon knows it and the obstacles in getting him seem to be too big. Communication isn't dead, and A&M may make another run at him, but right now I just don't see it. Timing, money -- all those things work against it.

So who is "Guy 2"? We may not know that until the weekend. There's going to be, for lack of a better term, a summit of people involved in the hiring process (donors, AD, etc.). That may set the course for the process moving forward.

I've heard that Georgia DC Glenn Schumann isn't high on the list of possibilities. There's concerns about the fit. Would that totally eliminate him? I've learned never to say never.

But here's the craziest thing about this search to date -- the names I've heard expressing interest through their representatives. Clemson's Dabo Swinney, Ohio State's Ryan Day, TCU's Sonny Dykes, Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy...those are a few of the names I've heard. And I really, really doubt any of them are possibilities. Maybe they're interested, but I don't think A&M is interested. I just think they think they can get a really big payday.

So we wait. Maybe A&M is looking at someone else that they've kept quiet or the search will expand, but they'd better hustle if they're going to meet their own deadline.

The ACC is about to collapse. Clemson may or may not get into the SEC. Even if they got in, they won't be able to dominate.

He won't have to start from "scratch" regarding setting up an NIL He now realizes that the NIL and Transfer Portal are necessary.

Does he still think Bama will come to him, but when?

Somebody, someday will get it right at College Station so this could be a major lost opportunity.

Scrolling through the players that are on the collective, there are ones on there that do not see the field at all or not mentioned in the snap counts.

over in Starkpatch. They're all peeing all over themselves now & I get it. They haven't had much to cheer about in the past 12 months. The reality is their talent level is way way low & it's gonna be worse now as a lot of they're better players are finished. They are gonna have to load/reload on a tremendous scale. QB, OL is porous, TE, DL, LB (losing their 2 best players), DBs weren't very good. They are currently ranked in the 40s in recruiting. Hiring Jeff Lebby is not gonna move the needle a whole lot in the recruiting world. Sure he'll probably get a QB to transfer in. Maybe KJ Jefferson who has regressed the past 3 years. All of this is gonna cost millions in NIL and frankly I don't think they have it. The shine will be off the turd very soon.

I am turning 40 at the end of December while we will be visiting my wife’s family in Murfreesboro. They have agreed to watch our kids for a few days, if we wanted to go somewhere for 2-3 days. Probably will take a trip later- but looking for something fun to do for maybe 2 nights. Thought about flying somewhere- but it’s kind of a hassle for a short trip. I am looking for something in driving distance that is lodge-esque. Chill, watch bowl games, maybe sit by a fire, smoke a cigar, eat an edible, good food on-site. Something outdoorsy to do during the day= shoot clays, fishing/fly fishing, hike, etc. I have looked at some things online- but figured a good resource would be to ask here for ideas!

does not lose close games. Outside of the “Lane to Auburn “ meltdown games, LK has become one of the nations best at winning close games. IMHO that is the best indicator of an excellent game day coach
