Decline in Relevance of Western Europe

Back when we were in school, we always learned in history about countries such as Spain, England, France, Germany, etc.. Those countries have largely faded into irrelevance in World affairs as the center of power has shifted eastward towards Russia and China. Is this a good thing for those countries? What, as Americans, can we learn from these once world powers?

I Will Predict the Next Five Years of Ole Miss Football

The day is December 5, 2024. Every one of these scenarios will occur by that date, in this order:

1. Lane Kiffin will go 9-4 in year one, to include the bowl game.
2. Mississippi State will fire Joe Moorhead and pay a buyout they can't afford.
3. Mississippi State will make another bad hire because Billy Napier will go to South Carolina after they fire Will Muschamp.
4. Lane Kiffin and crew will get there first of 4 top 10 / 15 recruiting classes
5. Lane will win the SEC West at Ole Miss.
6. Lane Kiffin will win the SEC Championship Game at Ole Miss (because the SEC East champion will never win it.)
7. Ole Miss will go the the College Football Playoff (outcome doesn't matter, just get there).
8. Lane Kiffin will depart for either Texas, Michigan, or the NFL .
9. Will Healy will be hired as the Ole Miss head Coach after winning 8+ games per year at Memphis and taking then to at least 2 more Cotton Bowl level games.
