Lane Kiffin and Chris Beard

We’ve got 2 of the best coaches, in their respective sports, at Ole Miss at the same time. I truly believe Beard will get the basketball program to where Lane has the football program, with our support! Let’s beat State’s ass tomorrow and then give Purdue all they want tomorrow night and see what we’ve got. The football and basketball program have never been in better shape! Hotty Toddy

Hard to argue….

If you want to debate the strongest conference and who deserves what. SEC with 2x the closest (B10). Tell me the SEC doesn’t deserve at LEAST four and arguably five. Forget even Ole Miss and say A&M wins the SEC and it’s A&M, Texas, UGA, Bama, and Tenn. What if we looked at everyone who played someone ranked within the conference even if they’re not T25 now? Shit…Vandy has been ranked a couple of times. Purdue hasn’t been.

The SEC is a meat grinder. Nothing else is.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong

But an angle on the whole “should South Carolina jump Ole Miss/Bama” debate I haven’t seen mentioned much.

When it pertains to Ole Miss specifically, IF you destroy State, USC beats Clemson and Texas beats Texas A&M, that rewards Carolina with a top 15 win but takes one away as A&M would fall out completely.

Ole Miss, who not only has the head to head, would then secure two top 12 wins vs their only one quality win (Clemson)

Now of course, you would need more chaos to make the playoff. Ideally, Brother Hugh pulling off the unthinkable (and more to remove all doubt) but I don’t see how you could justify Carolina jumping them if those two games play out that way.
