There are 16 bowl teams with their starting quarterback in the transfer portal

Oklahoma, Eastern Michigan, Coastal Carolina, Miami (OH), Ohio State, UCLA, Boise State, Oregon State, Duke, Minnesota, Texas A&M, Miami, Kansas State, Toledo, James Madison and Utah.

Then you have potential opt outs- Drake Maye? Jayden Daniels? Sam Hartman?

In addition, three schools' quarterbacks — USC, SMU and Florida State — are already confirmed out.

Injuries are what they are, but opt outs and entrances into the transfer portal make betting the bowls a little more difficult than 15 years ago. It used to be take who wants to be there more than the other team, especially on G5 v P5 matchups.

By the way on A&M- E Robinson is supposed to be the head coach in this game. But he's got to be crootin for Syracuse. And between portal and opt outs and injuries, they're down 15 guys. Then you have 5 draftables that might opt out in LB Edgerrin Cooper, DL McKinnley Jackson, OT Reuben Fatheree, C Bryce Foster and WR Moose Muhammad. So they could be down 20 guys and none of teh coaches really have their heart in it, as they're either gone or looking for jobs. What a mess.

Here's Sunday's thread, in case you missed it. There was a decent amount there.

Total transparency: Setting up this thread ahead of a busy day. Really nothing new this morning. Still on Juice Wells watch. Will update today as needed. Please note: I'll be out of pocket a good part of the late afternoon. If things happen then, I'll catch up on the other side

I was thinking about how this team was built.

It kinda reminds me of the Rams a few years ago, we have the foundation built to be really competitive as is, but we’ve got enough key pieces in place to where we can go get who we need to become the best team next year. We go all out now while we’re in a good position to capitalize on a favorable schedule, talented skill players, deep talented QB room with an experienced starter. We go balls to the wall and treat the portal like it is, free agency, and do what we gotta do and I firmly believe we’ll bring a Natty here next season

Ryan Williams reclassified to 2024.....

Word in and around the Saraland program is that he is not only reclassifying, but potentially flipping to Auburn.

I will say that I've seen him play a few times in person, and 4-5 times on TV. He's the best HS WR I've seen since watching AJ Brown. They are different receivers, but Williams is an absolute gamechanger. He's a better version of Elijah Moore.
