quick question about something I never considered. do men's ties come in different lengths? my stepson is fresh out of college and works at a bank, so he's in a tie every day. he's about 5'8"-5'9", and is not a fan of ties that drop far below his belt line. I'm 6'1", so I never even considered the need for shorter ties. I half-ass Googled it, and best I can tell, there's standard, youth sizes, and big-and-tall.

are there any retailers, brands, etc. that make non-standard ties that aren't crazy expensive?

Many schools have the passion and resources to play this game. Took away selective enforcement advantage.

But now with easy transfer, the dominant schools can't hoard all the talent. How long is a 4 or 5 star kid going to ride the bench at Bama or UGA? They are actually doing better holding on to talent than I would have thought.

It also favors the hot hand, not the historical brand. Who wants to stay with a bad coach or a team projected not to do as well? Brand values will be much more fluid.

Like in anything the some huge brands/schools are slow to react to disruptive change (Clemson). Schools who were quick to react have infrastructure (Mizzou and Ole Miss)

I love it. It’s like NBA/NFL free agency except you get a lot more info about what guys you’re interested in, who’s visiting, who’s leaving, why they’re leaving or considering you. Personally, I like this better than the old way, the guys we’re getting now are going to contribute next year. (Just like the stars do in NBA/NFL free agency) whereas before you had to wait a year, sometimes 2, and by that time you forgot they’re even on the team.

I hadn’t seen it posted here, but I saw on Facebook today that he passed on Monday. I had just briefly spoke with him at Skymart last week or so. He was a great, friendly man and will be sorely missed. Prayers for his family and friends.

With all of the portal talk, I would love to read some info on current roster development. I belive Neal/Chase mentioned Preston Cushman on the OL. Who else is coming along/ possibly contributing next year?

This is the weekend right before we hired Lane. Lot going on. Just scroll through the next 40 pages or so.

Towards the end of the NCAA investigation, Ole Miss Administrators went all-in on defending/retaining Freeze...
Long story short...we don't eventually land Lane Kiffin without Rosie's hard detective work which helped lead to the review of the phone records and the resultant dismissal of Freeze.
Rosie was trying to damage Ole Miss...but ultimately, it backfired in the worst way imaginable.
I thank him for starting the fall of the dominoes.
