Cowboys last night…

I didn’t watch but am i understanding this right?

They were down 21-10, made a long FG to pull within a TD…Texans get called for a penalty, Cowboys accepted it and wound up with zero points after they wound up going 4 and out?

Why decline that when it makes it a 1 possession game? Especially when it was just the 3rd quarter?

Gold Sheet: 31-17 Final

One could make a great living by fading the GS selections but nonetheless, here is their analysis of Saturday .. .. Speculate at your own peril .. ..

"The Gators pulled off an impressive 27-16 win over LSU last Saturday and now take aim at finishing with a winning record for the first time in Billy Napier’s three seasons by pulling off another home upset as Ole Miss comes through Gainesville. When talks of buying out Napier were rampant after a 1-2 start, Lane Kiffin’s name was discussed as an ideal candidate and the Rebels head coach even had fun with the rumors on social media, adding another subplot in this last major obstacle for his team as it looks to land a CFP spot. The Egg Bowl remains ahead, but Ole Miss will be a significant favorite in Oxford against the worst team in the SEC. Kiffin’s team has lost two games by three points in crushing fashion, but has bounced back from blowing a late lead at LSU by defeating Oklahoma, Arkansas and Georgia by a combined margin of 117-55. Coming off a bye, the Rebels should be fresh and well prepared as they look to contain an improved Florida offense and perform against a sturdy, athletic defense. QB Jaxson Dart leads the nation in QB rating and has the ability to beat teams with his passing and rushing ability. The Gators have played some of the nation’s most talented passers this season and are 0-4 against Miami’s Cam Ward, Tennessee’s Nico Iamaleava, Georgia’s Carson Beck and Texas’ Quinn Ewers. Despite still dealing with a hamstring issue, UF QB DJ Lagway threw for 226 yards and TD in returning to action last week, earning SEC Freshman of the Year honors, so there’s no danger of the Rebels looking past this last major challenge. Florida is hoping to avoid dropping back-to-back home finales for the first time since ‘88-’89 and beat Kiffin in his first game at Ole Miss 51-35, but between its depth issues and collective youth, are fighting too large an uphill battle to trust here. Keep in mind that it would definitely help the Rebels in the rankings if this score is lopsided, so expect Kiffin to keep his foot on the gas for four quarters."

Argentina’s road to the 2026 World Cup has been impressively smooth through the first half of qualifying, leaving it within touching distance of confirming its place at the tournament.

At the moment, we see the defending champions of the World Cup, Argentina stand tall in first place with 22 points. They however did suffer a setback in their first match of the November international break. Paraguay shocked them with a 2-1 defeat, which happened to be Lionel Scaloni’s side’s third of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Nevertheless, they still maintain a three-point lead over second-place Uruguay. On the other hand, we have their upcoming opponents Peru. They are currently in a rut, being in just a better spot than the last-placed side Chile in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier group.

Argentina and Lionel Messi return to action at La Bombonera to face off against Peru in 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying action.

Argentina remains three points clear at the summit of the CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying standings with 22 points after 11 matchdays. The reigning Copa América and World Cup champions could potentially move to five or six points clear at the top of the table with a win against Peru and if Uruguay and Colombia drop points in their respective matches.

Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni will be without a few key players in Cristian Romero, Nicolás Gonzalez and Nahuel Molina, but his side should have enough quality to get the three points and move one step close to punching its ticket to the United States, Canada and Mexico in 2026.

The Loser of the Big 10 Championship Game has a free pass to the semis

They'll be the 5 seed and they play 12 at home. And then they play 4. All that means that they are guaranteed 2 games against ACC, Big 12 or G5. No SEC. No Big 10.

On the other hand, the winner of the Big 10 Championship Game gets the #1 seed and a bye, which means that they play the 8/9 winner, which is pretty much guaranteed to have an SEC flavor. Thats going to be way more difficult than playing ACC, Big 12 or G5.

The SEC and the Big 10 should have never agreed that the 4 highest ranked conference champions get byes. Its ok that ACC, Big 12 and G5 get a spot, but not a bye. When 5 plays 4, and 5 is a double digit favorite, you have a design flaw. And you're going to see the same thing with 6 and 3.

Here's how Ole Miss gets to Atlanta for SEC CG

Nov 16:

S. Carolina beats Mizzou

Nov. 23
Auburn beats TAMU

  • TAMU lose out ( @ Auburn v Texas)
  • OU to beat Alabama (game in Norman)
