Talking with an Arkansas Fan

I live in Northwest Arkansas now and was talking with a Razorback fan at my wife's work Christmas party. He's very plugged into the program, has a family member that works in the at the athletics office. He basically said that "I would love us to get to a place where we are a 6-6 program every year, with the opportunity to win 8 games from time to time."

That's when it really struck me just how far Ole Miss has come in terms of success, and how quickly our expectations have risen for the program.

We're in the good ole days, boys. Enjoy it!

Parents and recruiting

I know people have already made posts about it, but it is sad to me how these athlete's parents call the shots in their choices. I understand if your a normal student and the parents have to make a sound financial decision based their kid's options. If I had a kid that could literally go any school they wanted to for free, I'd tell them to go wherever the hell he wants to. If he wanted to play football for Harvard or Miss State....who cares, it's not my life.

The kids that go to 3 high schools and 3 colleges with constant drama is just so bizarre to me.

The level of

Cope coming from other fanbases right now is truly hilarious. I’ve spent some time perusing other sites (mostly LSU) this morning and they are truly dumbfounded on how we’re getting players they want. I’ve seen every thing from “Ole Miss is promising money they can’t pay”, “the kid sucks anyway”, “the portal isn’t sustainable and we’re building a strong foundation”, to complete meltdowns. They can’t handle the fact that little Ole Miss is teabagging their bitch asses. This is what dreams are made of fellas. Let’s keep it going. If you can, donate. If you can’t, sell something and donate.
