Black Lab

Did anyone see the black dog roaming the stadium? Looked to be a lab. My son saw him around the concessions then he came down the steps past us in section J. Acted like he wanted to jump the wall on to the sidelines. After that I don't know where he went. Not sure where he came from.

Let’s compare a 10-2 Ole Miss versus a 10-2 Tennessee

Ole Miss best wins:

Vs UGA - 28-10
At South Carolina - 27-3
At Arkansas - 63-31

Ole Miss losses:

At LSU - 29-26 in overtime (Ole Miss led the entire game)
Vs Kentucky - 20-17 (Ole Miss led the majority of the game aside from less than 2 minutes)

The fact that Kentucky was the first SEC game of the season matters to the committee

Tennessee best wins:
Vs Alabama - 24-17
At Vanderbilt or At Georgia TBD

Tennessee losses:
At Arkansas - 19-14
At Georgia or At Vanderbilt TBD

Now let’s do common opponents
Tennessee at Oklahoma 25-15
Ole Miss vs Oklahoma 26-14

Tennessee at Arkansas 14-19
Ole Miss at Arkansas 63-31

Tennessee vs Kentucky 28-18
Ole Miss vs Kentucky 17-20

Tennessee at Georgia TBD
Ole Miss vs Georgia 28-10

Tennessee vs Florida 23-17 OT
Ole Miss at Florida TBD

Tennessee vs Mississippi State 33-14
Ole Miss vs Mississippi State TBD

In a scenario where both teams go 10-2, give me Ole Miss. we need blowout wins against Florida and Mississippi state to make our case in a situation like this. I like our chances. Of course there’s a possibility that Tennessee beats Georgia, then Georgia is out. I like our chances there too, but it takes luster off that big signature win we got.

Andy Staples updated playoff projection has Ole Miss #8

New prediction by Andy Staples has us hosting #9 Notre Dame in Oxford. Winner plays #1 Oregon in the Rose Bowl. I would take this 1,000,000 times out of 10. Interesting part is this has tennessee beating Georgia and knocking them out. It would mean Texas beats A&M and we have a Tennessee-Texas SEC championship game. In other words. The current 2 loss teams have to be knocked out in order to avoid chaos. I find it very difficult for me to root for the Vols this weekend considering how big the GA win was for our program. That win would lose some luster if Tennessee beats them the following week in Athens.
